Redtail notho - Red
Nothobranchius guentheri "Rot"
About me: Hello, I am an elongate nothobranch "Red" and am best kept in soft, slightly acidic water. I also feel very comfortable in dense planting. If you want to breed me, a container with peat fibers is needed. The socialization with other species of N. guentheri should be avoided. As for eating, I am uncomplicated as I tolerate dry/frozen and live foods.
General information: The male has a faint yellow ground coloration with a dark red becoming more intense towards the caudal fin. The females are unicolored light brown-light gray. (Different pattern and different hue than the aquarium strain).
